主讲人简介

John Bagterp Jørgensen is a Professor in Model-based Control in DTU compute, a faculty member at the DTU Center for Energy Resources Engineering (CERE) and a cofounder of 2-control ApS which is specialized in model predictive control technologies. His research focuses on computation and application of Model Predictive Control(MPC), including industrial processes, intelligent control of smart energy systems, production optimization and so on. His research is to a large extent conducted in collaboration with industrial companies. Prof. Jørgensen has hosted more than 20 research projects funded by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, Research Council, Diabetes Academy and others. He has published over 200 papers and supervised more than 40 PhD students. As a teacher, he teaches graduate courses on numerical methods for optimization, differential equations, and model predictive control.

 

报告内容简介

We give an introductory overview of the formulation of model predictive control problems and computational aspects of their solution. The formulation includes a description of the parameter estimation problem, the state estimation problem and the optimal control problem. We illustrate the application of model predictive control to solve global grand challenges related to climate and the green transition, smart renewable energy systems for buildings and electrical cars, industrial manufacturing with integrated chemical and power systems (power-to-X), cement manufacturing, medical applications, and self-driving cars.
